英文会計士とコミュニケーション　（４）　－　はっきりと表現するためのテクニック

前の段落や行の中で述べたことを示すときに、「This」や「That」などの代名詞だけだと、意味があいまいになります。

 あいまいな例：
The profit margin grew to 23% in 2013 from 20% in 2012.  This is attributable to …

改善例：
The profit margin grew to 23% in 2013 from 20% in 2012.  This increase occurred because …

 これは英語を書くときに注意すべきポイントですが、英語をしゃべるときは、代名詞だけでも大丈夫だそうです。
