Income includes both revenue and gains.
Revenues arise in the normal course of business and are often referred to as sales, fees, interest, dividends, royalties, and rent.
Gains are other items that meet the definition of income, which may or may not arise in the normal course of business.

The IASB Framework indicates that gains are increases in economic benefits and are no different in nature from revenues.
したがって「income」=「revenue」+「gains」
Revenueは事業活動から通常得られる収益
Gainsはそれ以外の収益
ということになります。
しかしIASB（国際会計基準審議会。IFRSを設定する団体）はrevenueとgainsは使い分けていないそうなので、曖昧さはまだ残ります。
和訳するならば、Income は収益、Revenueは経常的な収入（つまりかなり確実に入ってくることが期待できる収入）、Gains は特別な収入がニュアンス的に近い気がします。
Gainsは和訳すると、Gain on sales of bonds（債券売却益）の場合ように「○×益」と和訳される例をよく見ます。
